Our Summer To-Do List

Levi swimming in his clothes while it's 65 degrees

Here in Minnesota it is almost just starting to feel like summer. We were at our cabin last weekend and even though it was 65 degrees out it felt great in the sun and all the kids were in the lake! So it got me thinking.. what do I want to do this summer?

1. Go to the Minneapolis Farmers Market
2. Spend an afternoon at North Mississippi Park (splash pad/park)
3. See fireworks
4. Go to the Renaissance Festival for the first time
5. Bring Levi to the State Fair for the first time
6. Valleyfair with Andy
7. Drive in movie
8. Twins game with Levi
9. Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America
10. Family lunch from a food truck

What's on your to-do list for this summer? I would love some more ideas!

  1. FOOD TRUCK! I've been begging Cory to go to one for the longest time. It's totally worth the drive in my opinion for the experience!

You guys have a very fun summer planned!

    1. We attempted to go get lunch via food truck in St. Paul last fall but we didn't think to check the hours before going. We WATCHED them drive away we cut it so close. So, here's to hoping we plan a little better next time around!

  2. You have never been to the Renaissance festival!?! You should defiently make that happen this year! And I can't believe you've never taken Levi to the state fair! I miss it! Maybe we'll be able to go this year too. I love your list, now you have inspired me to go make a list of my own too. I have never eaten at a food truck either but there is a localish one that also serves whole foods! Win, win!

    1. I know, right?! How have I never been to the Renaissance festival?! I feel like it's right up my alley too! It's GOTTA happen. And I have a rule for myself when it comes to kids and the state fair. I will not take a child unless they can walk on their own and can use a public restroom. Last year Levi probably could have handled it but he was still a handful. This year I think he's at the perfect age to go for the first time. You should totally hit up the food truck that's sorta kinda by you! It'd be such a great family experience!
